At SCPS we prioritize the well-being of children and adolescents

Our child psychologists believe in evidence-based practices for the complex needs of children and adolescents.

We approach each person with an open mind, providing assistance along the way and creating therapy that maps their abilities.

Our registered child psychologists are highly specialised. We have over 10 years of experience in child and adolescent psychology.

Our Approach

We are a Neurodiversity-Affirming practice, meaning we acknowledge each person's inherent value as they are. SCPS focuses on improving their overall quality of life and affirming their identity. While commonly associated with autistic individuals, our methods recognise the validity of all neurodiverse individuals.

Our Values

The SCPS was established to offer care to children and their families. We are dedicated to being a reliable source of support in our local community. Our values guide everything we do.

Collaboration

When needed, we collaborate with schools, speech therapists, occupational therapists, paediatricians, child psychiatrists, and GP’s to bring about positive changes. We are well networked in our local community.

Learning & Research

We prioritise continuous learning to guarantee that we provide the most effective, evidence-based approaches.

Kindness

We recognise the courage it takes to seek assistance and offer a safe, empathetic, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for parents and children.

Curiosity

We acknowledge our clients' experiences with openness and acceptance.

Advocacy

We assist our clients in discovering how to communicate their needs and bring about changes in their surroundings and day to day lives.

Diversity

Our team respects and values human diversity, embracing differences in abilities, gender, sexuality, and cultures.
